Concept

This is an animation for a viedo game. By useing computer animation to represent a future world that is full of violence, sanguinariness, inhumanity and decadence. The main idea of this story comes from a Japaness comic named GUNNM. The content of this story narrate a cyborg that been found after she had brokendown for 300 years. Some people rebuild it. In this deviant world, it is very hard to say that is computer enslave human or human control computer after all. That is a inextricable inconsistency for her. I pick up one part from this story which describ she join¡§Metel Ball¡¨after she had been classified to an evil by her friends. Metal Ball, a sanguinary and violence adult game. There are a lot of fighting in this part without exploring psychological problem. Yet I like to put some Con-Fu in here, so that is why I chose this part from the story. It is difficult to have a complete confess in 3 minutes animation after all. I will use fighting and lots of strict cut to stimulate visualization.

 

Rules of this game

Metal Ball. All players have to set out at the same time as machine arm throw out the metal ball on the start point. The Players can wear any kind of weapon except gun. They can also use any way to erase obstacle on the way, of crouse include your opponents. The only theorem of this game is to reach final point and take metal ball with you.

 

Perspective
I used to be an video editor. Because of that, I hope people can look at the film translation while they are watching the animation. I hope "some" people not just thinking what kind the software that I used when they are look at it. If the animation can just match with the music, it can bring people go into the story. Let you really take a part in this game. I will use lots of sign from cybore's view. You will feel that you are in this game but not like a cameraman. That is what I want "some" people to be.

Project Planning Porposal
My project for the year is computer generated animation based on a Japanese comic series "Gunnm". The length of the animation is between three to four minutes, and it is intended for the opening sequence of a video game. The style of the animation would be use to portray the future of overdeveloped city, which consists of only violence, sanguinariness, inhumanity and decadence. The design of main character, "Gally" is also taken from the comic book, which devived from different cultures and backgrounds, i.e., Japanese kendo, Rome warrior.......... etc.
My plan for the first month is to finallise my storyline and getting a background music that is suitable scenes before moulding on to building the characters. My planing for this project is as below:
